We are a volunteer fire department in the heart of Muskoka with approximately 40 members between 2 stations. Station #1 is located in the Bracebridge town center. Station #2 is located in Vankougnet on Highway 118 East. We respond to approximately 200 to 230 calls a year, both municipal and rural. We cover an area of approximately 352 square miles of territory serving over 16,000 residents.

The boundaries that we protect are from Hwy 118 East overpass in the South, to Stephenson Rd. #1 in the North, and from Hwy 118 West to the junction of Cedar Beach Rd., to the Haliburton District boundary in the East. There are several island properties that also fall under our protective umbrella.
